TechCrunch 50

So TechCrunch 50 just wrapped up. As usual, Mike Arrington & Jason Calacanis put on an excellent conference. RedBeacon walked away with the grand prize of $50k (congrats!), but all 50 startups (and the 4 demo pit winners) were very strong.

I spent a lot of the last two days watching the live video stream, compliments of Ustream. Full cost to attend the conference is $3k per ticket – so I have to give a big Thank You to Mike & Jason for streaming the entire event live, and at no cost. It’s an awesome thing to do.

These two guys have dedicated a big chunk of their lives to helping tech startups (and they even figured out a way to make a profit doing it!) and their contributions are immeasurable. If you want to support their professional efforts, I highly recommend checking out their websites – TechCrunch & Mahalo. But fair warning – there is a good chance you will become addicted to both of them.

So that’s it. Just a quick post to say thank you…and I can’t wait for next year’s TC50!
